| Martin Li is a
freelance writer and photographer based in London. He earlier studied physics at Cambridge
and worked for several years in corporate finance. His main travel interests are
wildernesses and remote, hideaway destinations in the developed world. A keen skier,
horserider and trekker, he has a passion for exploring the adventure and culture of the
world's great mountain regions, especially the Himalayas, Alps and, above all, the Andean
countries of South America. Martin writes for Travel
Intelligence and various publications including ABTA TravelSpirit,
South American Explorer, Scottish Islands Explorer,
Marco Polo Magazine, Transitions Abroad
and Kuoni World. He has just written the Adventure Guide to Scotland (Hunter Publishing).
José Camarlinghi is
co-owner and founder of leading Bolivian adventure and expedition operator Andean Summits, and is the
Director of the company. A keen climber for 30 years, José has been a professional
mountain guide for 20 years, leading groups around the Andes of Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador,
Argentina and Chile.
José is also a film producer and
professional photographer, has produced several documentaries and writes for local
newspapers and magazines. José speaks Spanish, English and French.
